THANK YOU FOR HELPING US “TURN MILES INTO MEALS”

In 2005, 250 participants turned out for the inaugural “Race Against Hunger” which led runners and walkers through downtown Visalia on early Thanksgiving Morning. Now in its 21st year, this Visalia tradition hosts over 6,000 participants and has become the largest race in the Central Valley! Family, friends, businesses, churches, and civic clubs are collaborating as a community to raise the funds needed to keep our food pantry shelves stocked with nutritious foods and snacks. This Visalia tradition is a morning where you will see many creative costumes, enjoy a visit with your family and friends, and count all the reasons to be thankful!

Visalia Emergency Aid (VEA) plans and hosts the “Race Against Hunger”, and 100% of the registration fees directly benefit the organization. VEA’s Board of Directors, staff of 6, and an incredible army of volunteers are committed to staying focused on our vision, “A Hunger-Free Community”!

Giving Back, Step by Step

Visalia Emergency Aid’s Annual “Race Against Hunger” is held on the most thankful day of the year, Thanksgiving Morning! No Child Hungry has fueled our passion for over 94 years. VEA’s Food Pantry assures our community we will be here to provide supplemental, nutritious groceries for families, children, seniors, and veterans, especially during the holiday season. Step by step, this race is giving back to its community!
