Our Mission – To diminish hunger by managing a food pantry and providing other services to low-income families and individuals in our community.
Our Vision – A hunger free community.
Our Commitment – To serve families and individuals with respect and compassion. VEAC serves Visalia, Goshen and Ivanhoe, and rural parts of Tulare County within the Visalia Unified School District. VEAC is a testament to how a community based, grass roots, non-profit organization can stand the test of time.
VEAC was established in 1931 by Associated Charities to help immigrants from the Midwest during the Dust Bowl migration. VEAC is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and continues to provide food relief services to families with children who face economic challenges brought on by unemployment, health issues, acts of nature (such as the devastating California drought ) and our struggling economy. VEAC receives no government funding for staffing or operations.
